Poster 265: The Risk of Iatrogenic Posterior Neurovascular Injury in Lateral Meniscal Repair Based on Real Arthroscopic Position: An MRI Study

چکیده
Objectives: Posterior horn of lateral meniscal repair using an all-inside device involves a risk iatrogenic posterior neurovascular injury. Some studies have evaluating the injury in this area but most were based on preoperative MRIs and landmarks which are difficult to clearly see under actual arthroscopic surgery. To our knowledge, there been no date with knee standard operational figure-of-4 position joint dilatation related border root is easy identify during The objective study was evaluate compare establish safe danger zones repairing meniscus through anterolateral anteromedial portals relation medial borders (LMR) MRIs. Methods: This descriptive laboratory study. Using 29 axial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) knees fluid at level meniscus, direct lines drawn simulate straight deployed from LMR extending 14 mm beyond capsule. If line passed or touched structure, noted, measurements made determine LMR. Results: Repairing portal had significantly greater than portal, incidences 68.97% 10.35%, respectively (p-value = 0.001). “safe zones” 4.15 ± 1.87 6.57 0.98 LMR, respectively. Conclusions: Our found when tissue both repairs having portal. reduce risk, surgeon can use as described decrease potential repair. Clinical Relevance: Iatrogenic always concern any surgery, results be guide reducing

متن کاملArthroscopic Meniscal Repair: “Modified Outside-In Technique”
Background: Despite the introduction of different techniques for meniscal repair, no single procedure is superior in all situations. The new method for meniscal repair named “ modified outside-in technique ” aims to achieve higher primary fixation strength by an alternative suture technique as well as avoid disadvantages of outside-in, inside-out, and all-inside suture procedures. Additionally...
متن کاملPosterior Lateral Meniscal Root Tears and Meniscal Repair
Meniscal repair indications have not really changed in recent years. Typically younger, more active patients with concomitant ACL reconstruction and peripheral third vertical tears continue to be the “best” repair candidates. However, even in these “ideal” candidates, meniscal repair continues to represent a significant challenge. While most will not dispute that vertical tears greater than 1 c...
